Located in Revelstoke, British Columbia, our intermediate clinic is for those with riding experience who want to take it to the next level. The primary maneuvers taught in this clinic are sidehilling, downhill U-turns, uphill switchbacks and descents on edge. Every maneuver gets a detailed explanation, demonstration, and practice session, and we tailor the pace to the group and the day's snow conditions to make the most of the time we've got. Beyond the technical work, we spend real time exploring and freeriding, putting these skills straight to use in the terrain that makes Revelstoke worth the trip. Before signing up for this clinic you should be able to confidently get your sled on edge and be able to navigate backcountry terrain.

 

When tackling each maneuver, the whole group gathers, and Caleb walks through exactly how to execute it: the mechanics, the timing, the common mistakes, and answers questions. From there, he demonstrates it himself, multiple ways, so you get a complete picture of what it should look and feel like. Once you're ready, you take a run at it yourself, with Caleb right there giving real-time feedback, correction, and coaching until you've got it dialed. We spend about 60% of this clinic teaching and 40% freeriding.

 

Day 1: We'll start with sidehilling in both directions, then move into downhill U-turns and work on line choice and body positioning — with freeriding and practice time built in throughout.

 

Day 2: Day two picks up with uphill switchbacks and descents on edge, then covers getting yourself unstuck — again with plenty of freeriding and practice time worked in.
